After a long day outdoors Days Inn New Iberia is a nice place to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Belmont Campgrounds while you're here at Spanish Lake. High temperatures at Spanish Lake throughout the warm days of summer are in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's with temperatures at Spanish Lake dipping       down into the 40's through winter nights. Spanish Lake is next to Spanish Lake Dam which is a pretty spot definitely worth a visit, and Spanish Lake is not far at all from New Iberia. Spanish Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through July, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course in the neighborhood of Spanish Lake is Spanish Trail Golf Club, and a good nearby hotel is Best Western Inn & Suites.
