Lots of folks from Shreveport-Bossier City come to Shift-Tail Lake, of course you could also stop at Caddo Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Why not have a look at a swamp like Sterling Bayou since you're here at Shift-Tail Lake; camping at Shift-Tail Lake is good fun, Pelican Lodge Catfish Restaurant is a good local campground. Do check out Caddo Dam since you're here at Shift-Tail Lake; if you need a place to stay       Royal Inn is a pleasant choice. Shift-Tail Lake commonly gets a great deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most; August is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Caddo Lake State Park Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Potter's Point Marina is a good site to camp. Through the summer, highs generally are in the 90's at Shift-Tail Lake. All through the                  moonlight hours it's generally in the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Shift-Tail Lake tend to be in the 30's. Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn Motel.
