Much rain falls at Round Lake; the month with most of the rain is May while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. After a long day outdoors Cypress Bend Resort is a great place to spend a night or two, and there's some flowing water nearby, Augustine Bar Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay. Round Lake is a magnificent spot to camp, Huxley Bay Marina is a       magnificent spot, and a fine nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn & Suites DeSoto. Everybody loves Gravel Prairie; if you've had enough of Round Lake, Boggy Lake is close by. Summertime highs at Round Lake usually tend to be in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; night lows in the 30's for Round Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Round Lake has to offer,                  you can camp at Fisherman's wharf, and swamps don’t sound that glorious but Kilgore Slough in close proximity to Round Lake is rather glorious. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
