This lake is so wonderful. The great folks of New Iberia like to hang out nearby; Belmont Campgrounds is a delightful local campground. Lake Rond is a relatively wet place commonly with a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is October. Swamps       can be such exciting sites, stop at Bayou Benoit since you're here at Lake Rond, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn and Suites New Iberia is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Take a side trip to Bayou L' Embarras, and if you're here, you could also go to beautiful Fish Coulee. Having a fine time at Lake Rond is trouble-free. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Fausse Pointe State Park is a brilliant place to camp. All through the warmest                  time of the year, highs usually are in the 90's at Lake Rond, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's.
