A good deal of rain falls at Racoon Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is August. If you came for an overnight stay Saline Bayou       Campground is a good spot to camp. On a splendid day you can explore Nolan Bayou, a swamp close to Racoon Lake; Horseshoe Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Racoon Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 70's.
