POLK is a great choice, and Pry Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Diamond's RV Park and Campground is a good local campground. If the weather is tremendous here at Pry Lake, you can go for a hike along the Big Branch Trail, and the cheerful folks of Fort Polk South like to hang out nearby. A brilliant site to camp here at Pry Lake is Toledo Bend       Resort. The high level of rainfall makes Pry Lake a quite wet site; December is when you get the most rain here; August is when it's the driest. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Pry Lake highs are typically in the 90's. Summer night lows descend down to the 70's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's while Pry Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
