If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake la Pointe. Lake la Pointe is close to Lake La Pointe Dam which is a scenic location certainly worth visiting, and if you came to camp Maxie's Mobile Valley is a nice site to do that. A lot of rain falls at Lake la Pointe; most of the rain falls all through July, and October meanwhile is the driest month. The good people of Lafayette like to hang out nearby.

When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's; night lows all through the winter for Lake la Pointe tend to be in the 40's. There's so much to do here at Lake la Pointe that you need to camp here for a while, Pioneer Campground is a good spot for that, and dry warm beds await you at Sona Inn.
