Pintail Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. High temperatures at Pintail Pond through the months of summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 70's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 60's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Pintail Pond fall into the 40's. Bennies Pond is not far from Pintail Pond at all, as expected you could also check out Bills Pond

| | while you're here; it's not far at all. A great deal of rain falls at Pintail Pond; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October.
This lake is so wonderful. Jean Lafitte National Historic Park & Preserve is a splendid national park. A swamp like Battery Bayou right next door to Pintail Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see; what would a spot like Pintail Pond be without interesting close by marks like Spoonbill Bend. | |
