All the water falling down from the sky makes The Pen a wet spot; all through August this area sees the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. A spree to Jean Lafitte National Historic Park & Preserve is recommended, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Westbank is a tremendous choice. If you came for an overnight stay Hassel's Trailer Park is a magnificent place to camp; after a long day       outdoors Manhattan Place Extended Stay is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at The Pen is fine fun, Marrero Travel Park is a fine local campground, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by New Orleans -Metairie-Kenner. During the summer months highs here at The Pen reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 70's.
