Don't leave Pauls Lake without first going for a hike along the Dogwood Trail; why not take a little spree to Bayou Brevelle since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some good folks from Natchitoches here, and swamps don’t sound that nice but Dry Bayou next to Pauls Lake is reasonably       nice. Pauls Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Dogwood Ridge Camper Park is a nice place to camp nearby; not far from Pauls Lake you'll find Cane River Lake which is a gorgeous lake. Pauls Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and August meanwhile is the driest month. Through the months of summer at Pauls Lake temperatures are frequently in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's                  frequently in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Pauls Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time.
