There's so much to do here at Owens Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oak Leaf Park is a great spot for that, and if you need a place to stay Orange Super 8 Motel is a nice choice. There is a great hiking trail next to Owens Lake called the Trout Creek Nature Trail, and Owens Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Charles/Vinton RV Park is a great local campground. There's some flowing       water close by, Cypress Creek is a stream you can explore while here, and going for a hike on the Pirogue Trail is always a good adventure. Owens Lake typically gets a large amount of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain; August meanwhile is the driest month. If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy Owens Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Stevenson Lake, and dry warm beds await                  you at Ramada Inn of Orange.
