After a long day outdoors Best Western Of Winnfield is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and swamps like Corfeine Bayou in the vicinity of Nantachie Lake make for perfect sites to stop at. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff near Nantachie Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Gum Springs Campground and Picnic Area is a great campground here; Waddel Bluff is an interesting site to go to while at Nantachie       Lake. You don’t have to go far from Nantachie Lake to make out the water at Nantachie Lake Dam, and let's not forget Nantachie Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here. Nantachie Lake is right by the Dogwood Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Saddle Bayou Primitive Campground is a nice place to camp. Lots of rain falls at Nantachie Lake; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months                  is August. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Nantachie Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 70's.
