Very great water scenery is available at Morris Lake Dam in the vicinity of Morris Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Whisky Chitto Trail. A pretty lake like Castor Lake right next door to Morris Lake is a good location to pop by, and Best Western Stagecoach Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. The high level of rainfall makes Morris Lake a reasonably wet place;       the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and September is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the summer months at Morris Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 70's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Morris Lake are in the 30's. Liberty Creek is a good spot to take a look at, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Big                  Branch Trail. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Camping at Diamond's RV Park and Campground is always a good experience; dry warm beds await you at Leesville-Days Inn.
