Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Castor Lake, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Best Western Stagecoach Inn. Liberty Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth a visit, and the Big Branch       Trail offers hiking at its best. Leesville-Days Inn is a fine location to get some rest. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. Morris Lake is right by the Whisky Chitto Trail; Morris Lake is a site with many visitors from Fort Polk South. The high level of rainfall makes Morris Lake a relatively wet place; December is the wettest month with most rain, and September on the other hand is the driest.                  Morris Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Diamond's RV Park and Campground is a perfect local campground. Lakes? Sure, Pry Lake is close at hand. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Morris Lake get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 70's.
