There are swamps here too; Moreau Lake is in the neighborhood, and Walker Lake is a glorious lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Saddle Bayou Primitive Campground is a tremendous local campground; there's great hiking along the Lake Nature       Trail. High temperatures at Lake Morantine through the warm months are in the 90's while overnight lows are regularly in the 70's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 50's while Lake Morantine night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site.
