If you fancy the outdoors, you'll fancy Mills Pond. A perfect close by hotel is Comfort Inn Ruston; if you came for an overnight stay Jimmie Davis State Park at Caney Lake is a wonderful spot to camp. Mills Pond is a site with many visitors from Monroe, and you'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Chatham Lake. Mills Pond usually       gets much rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Pine Hills Golf and Country Club, and why not camp at Camp Ch Yo Ca while you're here at Mills Pond. High temperatures at Mills Pond through the summer are in the 90's; the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, usually in the 70's.
