High temperatures at Manning Lake through the months of summer are in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Manning Lake. The friendly people of Bogalusa like to hang out close by, and camping at Manning Lake is great fun, Clear water Creek Resort is a great local campground.       This lake is so wonderful. Manning Lake is not the only location close by, Horseshoe Lake is a close by lake, and Manning Lake is a splendid place to camp, Lazy-j Campgrounds is a splendid place. There are swamps here too; Gum Pond is around here, and do stop at Cross Creek since you're here at Manning Lake. Much rain falls at Manning Lake; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is October.
