On a nice day at Magnolia Lake you can take a hike along the Lake Nature Trail. Lakes? Sure, Kateland Pond is around here. This lake is so wonderful. La Quinta Inn and Suites Alexandria is a wonderful place to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Saddle Bayou Primitive Campground is a good spot to camp. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Suites Alexandria is a great place to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Cotile Recreation Area
since you're here at Magnolia Lake.
Magnolia Lake is a wet location that gets much rainfall; during December this area sees the most rain while October is generally the driest month. Summertime at Magnolia Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Magnolia Lake. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent

time here at Magnolia Lake. There is a great hiking trail close to Magnolia Lake called the Wild Azalea Trail Kincaid Spur, and you'll meet a lot of people from Alexandria here.
Going for a hike on the Wild Azalea Trail is always a good adventure, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Lake Iatt.

Lake Iatt
My husband and I own land on Iatt Lake. The lake has been drained for what reason we do not know. We hear many stories as to the reason behind this. We would like to have the lake re-stocked with fish, as our bass, catfish and blackcrapy have been drained to the Red River. I would like to know if this will happen and also, when will this happen? If you do not know perhaps you could tell me were to go to find out this information. We would also like to know who owns the lake and who is responsible for the re-stocking of the lake?...
