I'VE FISHED LARTO LAKE ALOT OF TIMES. THE FISHING IS GREAT AND THE PEOPLE ARE VERY NICE. WHEN WE GO TO LARTO LAKE WE RENT FORM UNCLE BUDS.THE CABIN'S ARE REALLY CLEAN AND NOT TO HIGH PRICEST!!!FOR THOSE WHO LIKE CRAPPIE FISHING THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO GO!!!

You can park a camper or rent a cabin from Uncle Bud's at Larto. You can also camp for free at the Youngblood landing but there are no utilities. If you go to the LA Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries website you can download a PDF map of the Dewey Wills wildlife management area that will show where the landing is.

If you are in Catahoula county it's always a good idea to stop by Larto Lake. Swamps like Alligator Hole Brake are fun to stop by, and The Bailey Hotel is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Paragon Casino Resort is always a splendid experience; Larto Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit.

| | Larto Lake Dam since you're here. Larto Lake gets a good deal of water; December is the wettest month with most rain while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 90's at Larto Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Larto Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
