The lake has been drained for what reason we do not know. We hear many stories as to the reason behind this. We would like to have the lake re-stocked with fish, as our bass, catfish and blackcrapy have been drained to the Red River. I would like to know if this will happen and also, when will this happen? If you do not know perhaps you could tell me were to go to find out this information. We would also like to know who owns the lake and who is responsible for the re-stocking of the lake? The warmest time of the year at Lake Iatt arrives with high temperatures in the 90's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Lake Iatt. Lake Iatt is a quite wet place commonly with a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is       August. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Lake Iatt. Camping at Saddle Bayou Primitive Campground is always a magnificent experience, and there are plenty of folks from Alexandria here. This lake is so wonderful. Cold Branch flows through this neighborhood; Comfort Suites Alexandria is a brilliant site to get some rest. You could also visit Magnolia Lake while you're here at Lake Iatt; it's close by, and there is                  a fine hiking trail close by called the Wild Azalea Trail Kincaid Spur. Camping is available at Cotile Recreation Area, and if you need a location to stay La Quinta Alexandria Inn And Suites is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. On a splendid day you can stop at Valentine Bayou, a swamp right next door to Lake Iatt, and if you've had enough of Lake Iatt, Kateland Pond is close by.
