My husband and I own land on Iatt Lake. The lake has been drained for what reason we do not know. We hear many stories as to the reason behind this. We would like to have the lake re-stocked with fish, as our bass, catfish and blackcrapy have been drained to the Red River. I would like to know if this will happen and also, when will this happen? If you do not know perhaps you could tell me were to go to find out this information. We would also like to know who owns the lake and who is responsible for the re-stocking of the lake?

Iatt Lake Dam is a picturesque place near Lake Iatt, and you're sure to bump into some good folks from Alexandria here. This lake is so wonderful. Man, is there a heap of fun things to do near Lake Iatt. La Quinta Inn and Suites Alexandria is a wonderful site to get some rest, and of course, this is a perfect neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Magnolia Lake is a lake close at hand. Throughout the long summer days at Lake Iatt temperatures are typically in the 90's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Lake Iatt fall into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Iatt is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is August. There's some flowing water nearby, Cold Branch is a stream you can check out while here, and do take a hike on the Lake Nature Trail.
