A magnificent swamp near Honey Lake is Buffalo Lake, and SpringHill Suites Shreveport-Bossier City/Louisiana Downs is a great site to get some rest. You're sure to come across some good folks from Shreveport-Bossier City here, and camping at Honey Lake is brilliant fun, Hilltop Campgrounds is a brilliant local campground. Dry warm beds await you at Mason's Motel; Maplewood Park is a delightful       campground here. At Honey Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's with night lows in the 70's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Honey Lake. So much entertaining stuff close to Honey Lake, simply tremendous. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Honey Lake, checking out Buzzard Roost Bend is a must, and you're possibly addicted to lakes, Cypress Lake is one of                  those close by.
