Not far from Floating Lake you discover Short Point, and Floating Lake is not the only location nearby, Willow Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Myers Landing is a great local campground, and if you've had enough of Floating Lake, Snake Lake is nearby. Quality Inn is a fine site to get some rest, and Shady Shores RV Park is a magnificent campground nearby. The high level of rainfall makes Floating       Lake a reasonably wet spot; July is the month that gets the most rain; April meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Floating Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 70's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Floating Lake.
