Custom Search     Flat Lake     WARNING! This lake is extremely shallow, do not attempt it if your boat isn't suitable for it. Depths are around 10 inches in some places, and no more than around 1.5ft throughout the whole lake. The bottom is extremely soft mud, which makes getting out very difficult... We had to have the coast guard called in to get out earlier. Says Erik A quick tour to Muskrat Bayou next to Flat Lake is a delightful idea; Flat Lake is right by the Pirogue Trail.     Flat Lake is a location with many visitors from Abbeville, and obviously Parra Bayou flows through this area.
