Why not camp at North Toledo Bend State Park since you're here at Donnell Lake, and dry warm beds await you at San Augustine Inn. Cypress Bend Resort is a great site to get some rest; go to close by Sandy Slough. This lake is so wonderful. Bean's Vip Campground is a great local campground; Horseshoe Lake is a perfect lake nearby.       So many enjoyable things to do here at Donnell Lake, too good to be true. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bayou San Patricio. The high level of rainfall makes Donnell Lake a rather wet location; May is the month that gets the most rain; August is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Donnell Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
