This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Inn & Suites is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and why not have a look at nearby Bayou Colin since you're here at Dauterive Lake. Dauterive Lake generally gets lots of rain; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and October is when it's the driest.       Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Dauterive Lake with night lows in the 70's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 40's for Dauterive Lake. Swamps are exciting places and Bayou Benoit near Dauterive Lake is no exception, and obviously, this is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes, Petit Lac is a lake in the neighborhood. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place.
