Yea, there's a lot to do on Cross Lake! I've personally been kayaking, jet skiing, boating, and swimming in the lake, and I hear it's a great fishing lake, too. I don't however know if there is a canoe rental place, but it wouldn't surprise me. It is more of a boating, water-sports place more than kayaking and canoeing.. It is a very popular sailing location though!

I would like to know if there is some where to have a wedding/reception on the lake.

It would be nice if there was information about recreational activities. Such as boating, kayaking,canoeing etc. Are there avenues to pursue those interests? Canoe rentals, etc.

Cross Lake is always a pleasure to visit. All through the long summer days here at Cross Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 90's, and the overnight is rather colder of course, usually in the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's with temperatures at Cross Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by

An out of the ordinary thing to visit next to Cross Lake is Cross Lake Dam and Spillway, and camping at Tall Pines RV Park is always a perfect experience. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to McCain Creek from Cross Lake is painless, and Shreveport Travelodge is a good place to get some rest. A good deal of rain falls at Cross Lake; November is the wettest | |

An afternoon playing golf at Westwood Executive Golf Course is always a pleasure; if you're visiting from Shreveport-Bossier City, you won't be the only one. Clark Pocket is
in the vicinity and always wonderful to stop by, and a magnificent site to camp here at Cross Lake is Barron's Landing and Custom Prop.
