Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. This lake is so wonderful. A pretty lake like Belle Isle Lake in the vicinity of Coot Lake is a magnificent place to stop at, and needless to say Charles Bayou flows through this vicinity. Camping is available at Herberts Cajun Haven RV Park, and you're sure       to stumble upon some wonderful folks from Abbeville here. Coot Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and April is the month with the least moisture. Do go to Deep Lake in the neighborhood of Coot Lake, it's a beautiful lake; Extended Stay InnSte Louisiana is a nice spot to get some rest. At Coot Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop                  down into the 70's.
