After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Alexandria-Dwtn-Conv Center,La is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two, and it's a tremendous idea to check out Indian Bayou. Compton Lake is a wet site that gets a large amount of rain; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There's so much       to do here at Compton Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rolling Hills RV Resort is a great location for that; Compton Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, L B Henry Mobile Home Park is a glorious local campground. During the long summer days highs here at Compton Lake get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 70's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Compton Lake.                  A swamp like Spring Bayou near Compton Lake has lots of exciting things to see, and Big Lake is a brilliant lake close by. A good close by hotel is Hotel Bentley, and do take a hike on the Magnolia Forest Walk. This lake is so wonderful.
