There's so much to do here at Castor Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Diamond's RV Park and Campground is a great place for that; you'll meet a lot of people from Fort Polk South here. Going for a hike along the Whisky Chitto Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you came to camp Toledo Bend Resort is a nice place to do that. This lake is so wonderful.       Hiking along the Big Branch Trail is wonderful fun, and Best Western Stagecoach Inn is a magnificent spot to get some rest. So many entertaining things to do here at Castor Lake, too nice to be true. A great close by hotel is Landmark Hotel of Leesville. The high level of rain makes Castor Lake a rather wet place; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while August is regularly the driest month. High temperatures at Castor Lake                  through the summertime are in the 90's. Summer night lows fall down to the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Castor Lake tend to be in the 30's.
