A great nearby hotel is Best Western Forest Motor Inn, and Buffalo Cove is not far at all from New Iberia. For the period of the months of summer here at Buffalo Cove, high temperatures usually reach the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's while Buffalo Cove nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the       40's. A lot of rainfall falls at Buffalo Cove; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month is October. Bayou Gravenburg is right next door to Buffalo Cove and is always a joy to pop by; you'll hit upon a lovely lake called Little Lake Long.
