You'll need more than a day to explore everything Brown Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kisatchie Bayou Campground; there are other places here than Brown Lake, for example Chico Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Louisiane Motel, and do take a hike on the Dogwood Trail. For the duration of the summertime months, highs usually are in the 90's at Brown Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's. The winter       brings highs down to the 50's while Brown Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. After a long day outdoors Ryder Inn is a fine spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Brown Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Nakatosh Campground is a good spot for that. If only every spot had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great earth it would be. Brown Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through                  December this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is August. This lake is so wonderful.
