All the water falling down from the sky makes Blue Pond a wet place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is April. A good close by hotel is Holiday Inn New Iberia-Avery Island, La, and if you're stopping by from New Iberia, you won't be the only one. For the period of the long summer days here at Blue Pond, high temperatures usually get into the       90's while night lows are frequently in the 70's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Blue Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Days Inn New Iberia is a splendid spot to spend a night or two, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Blue Pond is Maison Royale Mobile Home Park. Hayes Coulee is a great site to go to.
