You'll find a pretty lake called Mosquito Lake near Blind Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Lake Charles/Sulphur. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Pirogue Trail, and the fine people of Lake Charles like to hang out close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Blind Lake a wet spot; during September this area sees the most rain; the driest month       is March. Summer at Blind Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Blind Lake temperatures sink to the 40's. Camping at Blind Lake is good fun, Mere's Mobile Home and RV Park is a good local campground.
