Camping at Dogwood Ridge Camper Park is always a delightful experience, and you'll possibly meet some people from Natchitoches here. Black Lake gets a great deal of water; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month of the year is August. Black Lake Bayou flows through this neighborhood, and Natchitoches Super 8 Motel is a great place to get some rest. Through the months of summer,       highs generally are in the 90's at Black Lake with night lows in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Black Lake. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great earth it would be. An exciting thing to pop by close to Black Lake is Allen Chivery Dam, and nearby you come across the Dogwood Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful.                  Black Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Nakatosh Campground is a great local campground, and lakes are such calm locations, why not go to Clear Lake.
