Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Black Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; through the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is August. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sibley Lake Mini Mart is a delightful site for that; you'll probably meet some folks from Natchitoches here. Salt Creek       is a stream that you may come across while you're here, and if you need a place to stay Natchitoches Super 8 Motel is a good choice. Through the summertime months at Black Lake highs are commonly in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Black Lake are in the 30's. Don't leave Black Lake without first going for a hike along the Dogwood Trail; Campground                  Point is very near and is a fine spot to have a look at.
