This lake is so wonderful. Big Mar is not the only place nearby, Lake Lery is a nearby lake. There's so much to do here at Big Mar that you need to camp here for a while, Hassel's Trailer Park is a great place for that. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Big Mar has to offer, you can camp at St. Bernard State Park, and Best Western Westbank is a good location to get some rest. If you fancy the       outdoors, you'll like Big Mar. You'll meet a lot of folks from New Orleans -Metairie-Kenner here, and Caernarvon Crevasse is a good site here at Big Mar. The high level of rainfall makes Big Mar a reasonably wet place; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is October. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Hidden Oaks Golf Course, and a lake close by is Charley Pond.
