A brilliant close by hotel is Best Western Winnsboro, and Roaring Bayou is near Big Lake and is always a diversion to stop by. Through the summertime highs here at Big Lake get into the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. Throughout the winter highs       are mostly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Big Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Cooter Point is close at hand and always delightful to have a look at, and if you came to camp Lake Bruin Campground is a brilliant place to do that. But wait, there's more to do near Big Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Big Lake a wet location; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is September.                  Nearby lakes?
