At Artillery Lake through the summer highs are in the 90's, and the nighttime is slightly colder of course, regularly in the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Artillery Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Artillery Lake, you could also check out pretty Infantry Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Big       Branch Trail. After a long day outdoors Leesville-Days Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and Engineer Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. Having a glorious time at Artillery Lake is easy. Fullerton Lake Campground and Picnic Area is a brilliant campground nearby, and you can stay the night at Shady Lake Recreational Vehicle Park. While you're here at Artillery Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Fort Polk South,                  and the Whisky Chitto Trail offers hiking at its best.
