Armor Lake commonly gets a lot of precipitation; through the month of December you get the most rain around here while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the warm months at Armor Lake highs are regularly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and night lows during the winter for Armor       Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Armor Lake is not the only site nearby, Infantry Lake is a nearby lake; Armor Lake is right by the Big Branch Trail. Camping is available at Diamond's RV Park and Campground, and why not check out Alligator Lake Dam while you're here. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Whisky Chitto Trail; people from Fort Polk South love to come here. A glorious place to camp here at Armor Lake is Fullerton Lake                  Campground and Picnic Area, and a good nearby hotel is Landmark Hotel of Leesville. So many cool things to do here at Armor Lake, too nice to be true.
