Summer at Anacoco Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 70's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Anacoco Lake dip into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Shady Lake Recreational Vehicle Park       is a great place to camp, and Holiday Inn Express LEESVILLE-FT. POLK is a great spot to get some rest. Lower Anacoco Dam is stunning and it's close to Anacoco Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Big Branch Trail. You're sure to encounter some nice folks from Fort Polk South here, and while you're here, you could also check out scenic Anacoco Lake. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great earth it would be. Why not camp at                  Diamond's RV Park and Campground while you're here at Anacoco Lake. Vernon Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; dry warm beds await you at Leesville-Days Inn.
