The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Alligator Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Alligator Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Alligator Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shady Lake Recreational Vehicle Park       is a great place for that, and Leesville-Days Inn is a splendid location to get some rest. All the water falling down from the sky makes Alligator Lake a wet location; December is the month that gets the most rain while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Take a hike on the Big Branch Trail, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Stagecoach Inn is a great choice. If you came to camp Diamond's RV Park and Campground is a                  good place to do that, and a gorgeous lake like Castor Lake is a great site to have a look at. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Alligator Lake has it all. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Whisky Chitto Trail.
