Allen Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is December; September on the other hand is the driest. Do have a look at Bell Lake right next door to Allen Lake, it's a striking lake, and if you need a location to stay Budget Inn is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful       lake like Black Lake in close proximity to Allen Lake is a pleasant spot to go to, and Comfort Suites Vidalia is a great site to get some rest. Oak Harbor On Lake Concordia is a good campground nearby, and why not a little side tour to Muddy Bayou. Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do right next door to Allen Lake. Allen Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, River View RV Park and Resort is a magnificent place to camp nearby.                  For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Allen Lake get into the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's.
