Abbeys Pond Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and why not a little side journey to La Tice Branch. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn & Suites Covington is a fine place to spend a night or two, and Abbeys Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Abita Springs RV Resort is a pleasant local campground. Abbeys Pond is not far at all from Bogalusa. Abbeys Pond is a wet       place that gets a large amount of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is October. Through the summer, highs usually are in the 90's at Abbeys Pond while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows at Abbeys Pond throughout the winter mostly plunge into the 30's.
