All the water falling down from the sky makes Woods Lake a wet location; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is October. What a place this is for outdoors people. Paddling on Salt River is so much fun, and Woods Lake is not the only location nearby, Duck Lake is a nearby lake. During the summertime at Woods Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and throughout summer       nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Woods Lake. Woods Lake is a perfect place to camp, Gospel Campground is a perfect place, and a fine panorama of scenic Dawson Knob is available. After a long day outdoors Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Shepherdsville is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Louisville South Koa.                  At Woods Lake you always meet someone from Louisville, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Floyds Fork. This lake is so wonderful.
