Stanford Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cedar Branch, and a nice spot is Masons Gap. Stanford Reservoir is a relatively wet place usually with lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls during July, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Danville Inn, and if you came for an overnight stay Chimney Rock Campground is a wonderful spot to camp. Get dripping

Summertime highs at Stanford Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Stanford Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Danville Super 8 Motel is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two; on a gorgeous day you obtain a great panorama of Sugarloaf from Stanford | |
