Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool things to do here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. The Cross Over Trail is a splendid hiking trail in the vicinity of Spring Grove Lakes, and Snedegar Pond is a splendid lake nearby. High temperatures at Spring Grove Lakes through the days of summer are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's,       and overnight lows in the 10's for Spring Grove Lakes. A lot of rain falls at Spring Grove Lakes; through May this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail near Spring Grove Lakes called the Cave Run Trail, and Holiday Inn Express Morehead, Ky is a great place to get some rest. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Spring Grove Lakes is not far at                  all from Mount Sterling; some of the water close by flows, like Bayou Creek. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Cumberland Plateau Mountains rules! If you came to camp Buckskin Run Camper Park is a wonderful site to do that, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not have a look at Hawkins Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Red River for all you adrenaline people; close by you find the Hog Pen Trail which is a great hiking trail. You truly have to go for Spring Grove Lakes. There's so much to do here at Spring Grove Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, The Outpost Campground is a pleasant spot for that; if you need a location to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a good choice.
