Chances are any fishing you do are going to be to relax and not to catch. It is a pretty area though and a quiet gated community. Golf can be played at Elizabethtown City Golf Course; you'll probably meet some folks from Elizabethtown here. Why not camp at Crossroads Campgrounds while you're here at Sportsman Lake; you're probably interested in lakes, Buffalo Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place to camp here at Sportsman Lake is Glendale Campground, and dry warm beds await       you at Baymont Inn and Suites Elizabethtown. Sportsman Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout July; October on the other hand is the driest. During the days of summer at Sportsman Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sportsman Lake temperatures dip to the 20's.
