Horseshoe Bend is a good site to have a look at while in the area, and hiking along the Buck Branch Trail is wonderful fun. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. You'll locate a charming lake called Spring Grove Lakes near Snedegar Pond, and do take a hike on the Cross Over Trail. At Snedegar Pond during the summertime highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Snedegar Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of Green Mountain from Snedegar Pond is lovely, and going for a hike along the Cave Run Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. The high level of rainfall makes Snedegar Pond a rather wet place; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. That right there is heaps of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has it all.
