You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Smoky Valley Lake; Dry Branch Conneoter Trail is a brilliant local trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Sandy River. Smoky Valley Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Robert C WEBB Camp is a nice local campground; Tygarts Creek is a glorious       whitewater spot close by. If you need a spot to stay Quality Inn Grayson is a good choice, and everyone loves Box Canyon. A trip to Erwin Hollow is always fun, and Super 8 Motel - Grayson is a brilliant site to get some rest. The amount of precipitation that falls at Smoky Valley Lake is close to the national average; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. During the summertime months                  here at Smoky Valley Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Smoky Valley Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
