Rose Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. So much exciting stuff in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, just extraordinary. Paddling on Tygarts Creek is so much fun. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. While you're here at Rose Lake it's a brilliant idea to explore Box Canyon;       Smoky Valley Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Grayson is a good site to spend a night or two; why not camp at Robert C WEBB Camp since you're here at Rose Lake. So many cool things to do here at Rose Lake, too delightful to be true. A good view of delightful Biggs Hill is available from Rose Lake; a delightful close by hotel is Quality Inn Grayson. There's some flowing water close by, Goose                  Creek is a stream you can stop at while you're here; soar down the rapids of Little Sandy River in a kayak. This lake is one of the great places here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. For the duration of the warm months at Rose Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Rose Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
