This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Looking for some flowing water? Try Goose Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Grayson. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Tygarts Creek, and if you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel - Grayson is a good choice. Glide down the rapids of Little Sandy River in a kayak, and there is a pleasant hiking       trail close by called the Dry Branch Conneoter Trail. All the outdoors fun things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. Biggs Hill can be seen from Rose Lake, and Box Canyon is a good location. For the duration of the summertime at Rose Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's while Rose Lake nighttime low temperatures                  through the winter are in the 20's.
