A wonderful place for whitewater paddling right next door to Rose Lake is Tygarts Creek, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Dry Branch Conneoter Trail. An average amount of rain falls at Rose Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. This location, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, has so       much outdoors fun things. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Sandy River, and Goose Creek is near Rose Lake and is always a delight to go to. Be careful coming to Rose Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Robert C WEBB Camp is a pleasant local campground. At Rose Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. Throughout                  the winter highs are typically in the 30's; nighttime lows at Rose Lake during the winter usually drop into the 20's. Box Canyon is a nice spot to check out, and if you need a place to stay Quality Inn Grayson is a great choice. A splendid nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Grayson, and here at Rose Lake you can distinguish Biggs Hill.
