Fairfield Inn By Marriott Ashland is a tremendous location to get some rest, and needless to say Big Garner Creek flows through this region. A great site to camp here at Rock Lake is Jones Campground. You'll meet a lot of people from Huntington-Ashland here; if you need a site to stay Ashland Knights Inn is a fine choice. Rock Lake gets a typical amount       of annual rain; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is October. Rock Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Ashland/Huntington West KOA is a wonderful local campground, and right next door to Rock Lake you locate a golf course called Sundowner Golf Course. During the months of summer highs here at Rock Lake reach the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
